Personal Care Pantry X Soroptimist Intl of Woodland

We're teaming up with the Personal Care Pantry here in Woodland to help aid in Period Poverty. The PCP is in need of sanitary napkins and tampons for their participating community members. Each month PCP provide community members with essentials such as laundry detergent, toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels, bar soap, toothpaste, diapers, wipes and more. The goal is to help those in need reserve their limited money for food and other expenses such as rent and utilities. The overwhelming majority of those we serve are women and children.



Currently there are 30 states in the US that still charge taxes on Sanitary Napkins and Tampons adding to the cost for these low income families. The state of California has a temporary pause on these taxes, but that pause is set to expire 1/1/2022.
